Sorrento Beach Club Rebrands as The Waterfront

September 2026

After a successful year as summer pop-up, Sorrento Beach Club, the popular waterfront venue at Sorrento Quay is entering its next chapter, officially becoming The Waterfront.

The rebrand marks a fresh direction for the venue, with a stronger focus on sport, entertainment and relaxed waterfront hospitality. Guests can expect more big screens, pool tables, live entertainment, cold drinks and a refreshed pub-style food offering, all while enjoying the venue’s prime waterfront location.

The Waterfront is part of ELG Australia, the hospitality group behind some of Perth’s popular dining and entertainment destinations, including Hillarys Beach Club, Yanchep Beach Club and the group’s newest Applecross venues, Bar Olé Applecross and The Heart Applecross.

After a year operating as the summer pop-up Sorrento Beach Club, the team felt the time was right to evolve the concept and create a venue that could operate as a year-round destination.

“We’ve loved the journey with Sorrento Beach Club over the past year and the response from our customers has been fantastic,” says the Managing Director Ryan Esqulant from ELG Australia. “Now it’s time for a refresh. The Waterfront better reflects what we want this venue to be – somewhere you can come for sport, a cold drink, good pub food, live entertainment or simply to sit by the water with friends.”

Sport will be at the heart of the new offering, with additional screens throughout the venue and pool tables adding to the casual, social atmosphere. The Waterfront will also host regular live entertainment and events throughout the year.

Weekly Specials

The Waterfront is launching a new lineup of midweek specials, available from 4pm Monday to Friday:

Monday: $25 Chicken Parmi + Free Pool
Tuesday: Steak specials from $25
Wednesday: Half-price pizzas
Thursday: Ladies Night – 2 course dinner with cocktail – $39
Friday: $3 oysters

The popular Happy Hour will continue every night of the week between 5pm & 6pm with $9 beers, house wines and $12 alcoholic slushies.

To celebrate the launch, The Waterfront is offering $6 Peronis all day until this Friday 4th September, giving customers the perfect excuse to come down, grab a cold beer and check out the refreshed venue.

The rebrand is part of ELG Australia’s continued expansion across Perth, with the group building a portfolio of venues that offer distinctive dining, entertainment and hospitality experiences across some of the city’s most popular waterfront and lifestyle destinations.

The Waterfront will retain the same location and familiar team, but with a new identity and refreshed offering designed to make the most of its position overlooking the water at Sorrento Quay.

The Waterfront is located at Sorrento Quay, Hillarys and is open for drinks, dining, sport, live entertainment and casual waterfront catch-ups every day of the week.

New name. Fresh look. More sport. More entertainment. Same great spot by the water.
